My Story
Bailey Silides is a circus professional and strength and conditioning specialist born and raised in Los Angeles county. Her journey into aerial, and subsequently fitness, was unorthodox — but truthfully, she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Bailey grew up in competitive baton twirling. So, she did indeed become the “kid with a weird extracurricular” at a young age. She competed and performed across the United States and abroad, but ultimately became bored of the structure required of a competitive environment. At the age of 15, she discovered aerial arts at a small studio in her hometown of Claremont, CA, where she trained in trapeze, silks, hammock, lyra, and aerial cube. Eventually, her passions took her to the New England Center for Circus Arts’ ProTrack Program in Brattleboro, VT, with a focus in baton twirling and dance trapeze.
Following her graduation from NECCA in 2022, Bailey performed for a variety of circus companies including Troupe Vertigo, Cirque Mechanics, Flynn Creek Circus, and Cirque Berzerk. She also competed at both VIVAFest in Las Vegas and at the San Diego Circus Festival, where she was awarded a special prize from Flynn Creek Circus.
Ultimately, though, Bailey’s heart has always soared highest when coaching. She has taught regular classes and workshops across the country, and is thrilled to be bringing her passion home to Pasadena. In addition to her extensive circus training, she holds a CSCS from the NSCA, and has greatly enjoyed coaching strength training at Bridge Performance right next door to Bingus.
